Description
Did you know that gelato was invented in Florence? The architect Bernardo Buontalenti, who worked at the court of the Grand Duke Cosimo I, dug into the iceboxes of the Boboli gardens to create an almost frozen sorbet made with snow, salt, lemons, sugar and milk. Maria de’ Medici and her alchemist brought the recipe to France where it took the name of cherbet, that is “sorbets“.
In our experience, you will take part in the entire process of making real Florentine gelato, using genuine ingredients of the best quality. Our expert gelato maker, Silvia, will teach you to recognize the difference between artisanal gelato and industrial ice cream, as well as all the tricks to make real Italian gelato!
You will have the opportunity to make two or more flavors (based on the number of participants), and then taste your own gelato! Soft drinks are also included. If you are looking for an activity to do as a couple or with friends (but also, why not, for solo travelers) that piques your gastronomic interest and your imagination, we guarantee that this experience will be truly memorable!
